Privacy Policy

Art For All - NC, a North Carolina nonprofit corporation (“Art For All - NC”, “we,” “us,” and “our,”), has created this “Privacy Policy” to inform users of our web site (“you,” “customer” or “your”), about our use of your personal information gathered on or in connection with your access and use of www.artforall-nc.org and all pages and posts thereon (collectively, the “Site”).  By accessing the Site, you agree to our use and disclosure of your information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy, which we may change at any time, with any such change effective upon posting of such a changed Privacy Policy on the Site.

Information We Collect From You

In order to operate the Site, we may collect: (i) identifying information, including, without limitation, your name, postal addresses, phone number, and email address; (ii) the content of communications sent to us; (iii) web logs and other standard data entries, including, without limitation, your IP address, page URL, browser type and timestamp; (iv) device and application IDs; (v) location information; and (vi) demographic information, including, without limitation, zip codes, browsing history information, searching history information, and registration history information.  This information is collected when you voluntarily provide information to us, such as when you sign up to receive news and updates, make a financial contribution to us, or submit a form, or it is collected automatically, such as through cookies or your use of our website. 

If you make a financial contribution to us via the Site, we may require you to provide certain payment information, including your credit card number, to a secured third-party payment processor. Credit card information is provided to such payment processor through a portal linked to the Site and is not viewable or stored by, or accessible to, us.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13, and prohibit them from using our Site without the consent of their legal guardian.  If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13 without receiving the consent of their guardian, we will delete any such information as soon as possible.

How We Use Personal Information

Your personal information will be kept confidential, and except as otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy, we will not sell, rent or lease to others your personal information.  We use your personal information to stay in contact with you, provide you with updates and information, coordinate Community Art Experiences, ship packages, and solicit for upcoming opportunities.  In addition, we may use your personal information to: (i) comply with legal or regulatory requirements; (ii) evaluate, maintain, and improve the Site’s operation; (iii) customize, measure and improve the Site’s content; (iv) inform you of changes to this Privacy Policy and our terms of use; and (v) enforce our rights under our agreements with you. 

Further, we may use personal information to email you newsletters and other materials that promote Art For All - NC or the organizations for which we support.  If at any time you would like to stop receiving such emails, please send a request by email to j.seaver@artforall-nc.org

Special Cases in Which We Share Personal Information

Your personal information may be provided to a third party in the event Art For All - NC or its assets are acquired by a third party.  Also, we may disclose personal information when we determine that such disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, to cooperate with law enforcement, or to protect the interests or safety of the Company or visitors to or users of the Site.  In such circumstances, you agree the Company may disclose such personal information to the extent necessary.  In addition, we may disclose personal information to affiliated legal entities and businesses with whom we are under common control.  Whenever personal information is disclosed under this paragraph, we may also disclose your demographic information on a non-anonymous basis.  All of our affiliated legal entities and businesses that receive your personal information and demographic information from us will comply with the terms of this Privacy Policy with respect to their use and disclosure of such information.

Our Security Precautions

The Site has implemented security measures designed to protect the Personal Information shared, including physical, electronic, and procedural measures. The Site offers HTTPS secure access; the transmission of sensitive payment information (such as a credit card number) through designated purchase forms is protected by an industry-standard SSL/TLS encrypted connection, and the service regularly maintains a PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) certification. 

The Site has industry-standard security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and integrity of the information under our control.  Although we make good faith efforts to store the information collected by the Site in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, no data transmissions over the Internet are guaranteed to be completely secure and we cannot guarantee complete security.

Your IP Address

Each time you visit the Site, we automatically collect your IP address (which is a number that can be used to identify your location) and the web page from which you came. In order to administer and optimize the Site for you and to diagnose problems with the Site, we use your IP address to help identify you and to gather broad demographic information about you.  We may also collect the URL from which you came to the Site and the URLs visited on the Site. 

Cookies

To enhance your experience on the Site, we use “cookies,” which are strings of text and numbers that can identify your computer to us when you visit the Site.  We use cookies to track your activity on the Site and to improve the content on the Site.  

There are two types of cookies: session-based cookies and persistent-based cookies.  Session-based cookies exist only during an online session.  They disappear from your computer when you close your browser software or turn off your computer.  Persistent-based cookies remain on your computer after you have closed your browser or turned off your computer.  They include such information as a unique identifier for your browser.  Standing alone, cookies do not contain personal data, and therefore do not identify you personally; they merely recognize your browser.  Unless you choose to identify yourself to us by using the Site, you will remain anonymous to us.

From time to time, we may engage third parties to track and analyze non-personally identifiable usage and volume statistical information from visitors to the Site to help us administer the Site and improve its quality.  Such third parties may use cookies to help track visitor behavior.  Such cookies will not be used to associate individual Site visitors with any personal data.  Except as otherwise set forth in the Site terms of use, all data collected by such third parties on our behalf is used only to provide us with information on Site usage and will not be shared with any other third parties.  You can change your privacy preferences regarding the use of cookies and similar technologies through your browser.  You may set your browser to accept all cookies, block certain cookies, require your consent before a cookie is placed in your browser, or block all cookies.  Blocking all cookies will affect your experience of the Site.  

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Please review this Privacy Policy periodically as we may modify it from time to time, which modifications shall be effective once posted on the Site.  Each time you visit the Site or provide us with information, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
